I started Beaded
Earth~Art Designs in 2003 with the idea of showcasing earth~art as wearable, inspired jewelry.
I have been creating jewelry for about 13 years, but with more artistic intent for the past 7 years.
My early jewelry designs integrated hemp and fibers, found objects, and glass. Once I began using
natural stones and minerals my design focus sharpened and took root. The pieces I create interweave
my personal sense of style and balance, fascination with nature’s art, and interest in tribal designs
and symbolism.
The rural Ohio landscape, where I grew up and now live, provides a
year-round palette of colors and textures that influence my designs. Images like moss on the edges
of a creek, the texture of lichen on tree bark and rocks, colorful transformations of leaves, or pristine
snow on a pine branch are the seeds of my jewelry. Natural stones allow me to translate that ephemeral
beauty of nature’s designs into my own lasting earth~art jewelry. I feel that jewelry and adornment can be an expressive and inventive way to reflect your personality. For that reason, each piece is unique and truly one-of-a-kind.
In addition to this website, I sell my jewelry at art festivals in the
central Ohio area during the summer months. It is my
sincere hope that you enjoy wearing my jewelry as much as I enjoy creating it.
